Documents for WhatsApp API verification
Have a live website, business registration or a current account, a business email, a Facebook business portfolio, a fresh mobile number, and a Visa card before you start WhatsApp API onboarding.
Meta verifies the business before the WhatsApp Business API can send template messages. Bulkwise onboarding asks you to keep these ready. Names on the website, Facebook portfolio, and registration document should match.
- A live website that shows the business name.
- An MSME certificate or a current-account statement.
- A business email on your own domain.
- A Facebook account with a business portfolio that is not restricted.
- A mobile number that does not already have a WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business account, unless you are using coexistence on an eligible Business app number.
- A Visa credit or debit card for Meta billing.
Display name, website, and business documents are reviewed by Meta. A mismatch is the usual reason verification is rejected. Paid onboarding can submit this for you. Self-serve onboarding walks through the same list.
Questions
Can I use my current WhatsApp number?
A number already on the consumer app has to leave that app first. Coexistence is the path that keeps a WhatsApp Business app number and adds the API. Read the coexistence page before you disconnect anything.
Who approves the business?
Meta approves the business portfolio and the display name. Bulkwise submits and tracks that setup. Bulkwise does not replace Meta approval.
