Temporary file sharing

Temporary file sharing gives you a short-lived link for a file you need to hand to a teammate or a customer.

WhatsApp is a poor place to keep contracts, catalogues, and export files forever. A temporary link lets you send the file once, with a clear expectation that the link will not be the permanent home of the document. Use it for a price list, a sample invoice, or a setup screenshot while a conversation is open.

Upload the file, copy the link, and send it in the chat or by email. Do not use it for passwords, access tokens, or anything you would not want forwarded. Treat the link as public to anyone who receives it. When the share is no longer needed, stop sending that URL.

This tool does not store the file inside a Bulkwise inbox and it does not attach the file to a WhatsApp template. Media you send through the WhatsApp API still follows Meta’s media rules and the template or session you are using. The temporary link is only the handoff.

Teams use it during onboarding, when Bulkwise or the customer needs a document that is already listed on the setup page: a website, an MSME certificate or current-account proof, or a catalogue export. Keep the original in your own drive. The link is a copy for the current task.

Open the sharing page, send the file, and come back to the product when the conversation itself should live in WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, SMS, email, or IVR. Start a free trial or book a demo. Plans start at ₹2,500 a month.

Name the file so the recipient knows what it is without opening it. A link called “final-v3” is how the wrong price list gets forwarded. Prefer PDF for a document you do not want edited in transit, and a spreadsheet only when the other person must filter it. Tell them in the same message what the file is and that the link is temporary. Do not put the link inside a WhatsApp template variable unless that template was approved for a document handoff and the customer expects it. For a catalogue you sell every day, use the catalogue setup in onboarding, including WooCommerce product sync, instead of a fresh temporary link for every order. A product feed that updates from the store is the durable version of the file you only needed to share once.
